We Are Rise For Lives

R4L is a movement of young people from New Zealand and around the world seeking to promote worldwide peace by organising educational and fundraising events. We want international informed awareness about regions hit hard by humanitarian crises.

Rise For Lives wants to make this world a little better. As this is hard to achieve on our own, we aim to bring passionate people together to fight for direct action and real change. Stand with us, rise for lives.

According to Save the Children (2020) globally, 426 million children live in conflict zones today. Major conflicts around the world have tripled since 2010, and children have been impacted the most. Save the Children stated that: “Children living in war-affected countries live in constant fear, experiencing grave violations of their rights, their childhoods stolen.”  On the 31st of March 2022 the UN Chief stated  that  2 Billion People Live in Conflict Areas today.  In 2016, the number of ongoing armed conflicts reached an all-time high of 53 in 37 countries and 12% of the world's people are living in an active war zone, according to United Nations figures. How many countries are at war right now? On the 1st of April 2022 Global Citizen published that there Are at Least 27 live Conflicts Right Now Of those worsening are the conflict in Ukraine, the war in Afghanistan, political instability in Lebanon, the war in Yemen, the Rohingya crisis in Myanmar, and the conflict in Ethiopia.

Wars don’t just affect soldiers or people living in war zones, wars affect everyone everywhere, they cause nations putting sanctions on each other as one of the many examples which result in inflammation and economical challenges on a global scale.
